Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of GotDone, including public profiles, accomplishment records, imports, search, proof links, and topic tracking.
1. Using GotDone
You may use GotDone only if you can legally agree to these terms. You are responsible for your account, the activity under it, and keeping access credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and comply with applicable law.
2. Public records and profiles
GotDone is a public service. Content you submit, including profile details, accomplishments, descriptions, topics, and proof links, may be displayed publicly, indexed, searched, shared, and associated with people or organizations.
GotDone may create unclaimed profiles or accomplishment records from public sources. If a record concerns you or your organization, you may request to claim, correct, or remove it. We may ask for reasonable verification.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant GotDone a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, classify, display, distribute, and make that content searchable for operating and promoting the service. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for reasonable backups, shared copies, and legal or integrity needs.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit the content and that it does not violate another person’s rights.
4. Imported and third-party content
When you provide a public URL or request an import, you authorize GotDone to retrieve and process content available at that source. Imported summaries may be generated automatically and can contain errors. Source links remain subject to the third party’s own terms and availability.
GotDone does not own or control third-party websites, repositories, social networks, or proof links and is not responsible for them.
5. Proof is not endorsement
A proof link shows where a claim can be explored. It does not mean GotDone has independently verified the accomplishment, guarantees its accuracy, or endorses the person, organization, product, or result. Users should evaluate claims and sources themselves.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use GotDone to submit false or misleading claims; impersonate others; expose confidential or personal information; infringe intellectual property; harass or threaten people; distribute malware or spam; scrape or overload the service without permission; manipulate rankings; bypass security; or use the service unlawfully.
7. Moderation and removal
We may use automated services and human review to examine submitted text and links for harmful content, phishing, malware, deception, or other abuse. A submission may remain private while review is pending. We may label, limit, correct, reject, suspend, or remove content or accounts when we reasonably believe they violate these terms, create risk, or reduce the integrity of GotDone. We may preserve information where required for safety, disputes, or law enforcement.
8. Service changes
GotDone may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features. We may set usage limits or introduce paid plans. We will try to provide reasonable notice when a material change affects existing users.
9. Disclaimers and liability
GotDone is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or the accuracy of user-submitted or imported content.
To the extent permitted by law, GotDone and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from your use of the service.
10. Ending use and changes
You may stop using GotDone at any time. We may suspend access for violations or risk to the service. We may update these terms and will revise the date above; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
