Co-founded Perplexity and launched its answer engine.
The product was designed to answer questions with citations, source attribution, and a path for readers to verify what they found.

Completed his Berkeley computer science PhD and joined OpenAI.
His doctoral work connected machine learning research with hands-on engineering. He then spent a year at OpenAI before starting a company.

Co-developed CURL to help agents learn control directly from pixels.
The open research system used contrastive learning and improved sample efficiency across DeepMind Control Suite and Atari benchmarks.

Introduced Universal Planning Networks for visual control.
The research embedded differentiable planning inside a goal-directed policy and learned representations that could help an agent reach new visual goals.

Completed a dual degree in electrical engineering at IIT Madras.
While at IIT Madras, he moved into machine learning research and worked on reinforcement learning projects despite not switching into computer science.
